P. Kevin Bolinskey, PhD, is Associate Professor of Psychology at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Richard W. Levak, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with a practice in Del Mar, California, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Assessment Psychology. David S. Nichols, PhD, spent his career as a clinical psychologist in the Oregon state hospital system, retiring in 1999 after 27 years, and as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Professional Psychology at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Very thorough book on the MMPI-2 that we used in our personality assessment course - details on scoring, including codetypes, and possible treatments are included for each codetype; the only thing we noted in our class is that definitions can tend to pathologize and not include as much positive strengths for each personality type; can be "laundry-list" style in paragraphs, but very good details that can be incorporated into reports
This is a very thorough book on the MMPI-2/MMPI-RF, recommended highly by my professor and assigned as our reading text for class. It arrived in great condition, too.
Between this and Therapeutic Feedback for the MMPI-2, you will have a strong foundation for administering the MMPI-2 and interpreting results. Excellent manual!
Good book to have. Great resource. Authors are very knowledgeable about the MMPI-2. Would like too see a cookbook version.
This book does not add anything new or important to the already existing MMPI literature. Odd that this particular mix of authors seeks to profit from a book that is based, in part, on the MMPI-2-RF, the very innovative and much improved version of the original test. Two of them (Friedman; Nichols) have taken public positions against the RF, just as they did with the MMPI-2 when it was released nearly three decades ago.
